You Can Now Add All Your Books To Your Medium Profile
Is this another opportunity to make significant money on your books? (Even if you write fiction?)
Medium recently launched a new feature for authors who want to add their books to their Medium profile. I’m excited! I use Medium for nonfiction, have made significant money there, and I’m planning to use it for fiction too.
And with their foray into verifying authors and showing books on profiles, I think there are even more reasons to start using Medium as an author—even if you write fiction.
I’ve been a long-time blogger on Medium. In fact, my most popular post is from 2014 and became the foundation of my first nonfiction book, Write Better, Faster. That book sold around 20,000 copies and launched my Productive Novelist series (formerly called Growth Hacking for Storytellers), which snowballed into so many opportunities I’ve had in the author space over the last near-decade that I’ve been helping independent authors make more money from their books.
I have no doubt that my Medium post spurred all those sales. In 2019, five years after I had originally posted, I looked into the data, and found that a good percentage of my sales were still coming from that one article.
I know, I know. But that’s nonfiction, Monica. I write fiction!
